Assistant Program Manager

​Blossom Place provides safe housing, one-on-one support and resources for former foster and at-risk women ages 18 -24, including those with young children. We have two homes in Auburn. Our Assistant Program Manager is responsible for building positive relationships and walking beside each young woman as she learns the life skills needed to thrive on her own. 

Duties:
  • Use a hands-on method to teach, guide and encourage each young woman to learn life skills such as:
    • Time management, organization
    • Advancing education or employment
    • Computer skills, driving practice, mental health habits, exercise
    • Meal planning, grocery shopping, cooking, cleaning
    • Conflict resolution, problem solving
    • Parenting skills
  • Assist youth with obtaining county services
  • Provide transportation as needed using a Blossom vehicle
  • Partner with youth to create a warm, well-managed home environment 
  • Assist with conflict resolution when necessary
  • Communicate with program staff to ensure a strong, consistent support team

Requirements:
Experience working with and supporting transition age youth and their children. Blossom Place values the skills and wisdom derived from life experiences and will consider the right candidate based on these.
Training in the effects of trauma and trauma-informed responses.
Knowledge of child development and the importance of consistent, healthy family rhythms.
Ability to listen well, communicate clearly and connect with youth encouraging them to problem solve, be accountable, dream and grow.
Ability to see beyond statistics and defiant patterns to see the core and true heart of each girl.
 
Hours of Work:
Tuesday + Thursday, 10 am -3 pm
Wednesday, 3 - 8 pm
Compensation:
$1600 per month

Facilities Manager

 Blossom has two homes in Auburn. We are looking for a Facilities Manager to keep our homes in top condition.

Duties:
  • Assist youth with weekly chores, demonstrating and teaching proper cleaning techniques as needed
  • Clean and refresh bedrooms as youth move out
  • Organize and clean as needed, water plants, minor repairs and upkeep of homes and yards

Hours of Work:
Saturday, 10 am -2 pm
Compensation:
$20 per hour
